NodalSeismic Successfully Completes 3D Projects in North Texas
In December 2019, NodalSeismic wrapped up a series of five back-to-back 3D seismic projects in the rural terrain of North Texas. These projects relied on SmartSolo IGUs (Intelligent Geophone Units), which proved crucial for efficient data collection.
The team used various receiver layouts with up to 3,100 nodes, enabling swift data harvesting between projects. The operation was streamlined with a compact setup, allowing for quick transitions. Remarkably, the entire process, including in-field source and receiver production, required a team of only 15 personnel.
Key factors that contributed to the success included:
- Easy Deployment: Lightweight and portable SmartSolo IGUs simplified fieldwork.
- Crew Efficiency: A small but skilled team maximized productivity.
- Minimal Footprint: The portable staging setup reduced logistical challenges.
These advantages made SmartSolo a critical tool for NodalSeismic, ensuring seamless execution across all five projects.
